Monthly Payment Estimator

An educational calculator that runs entirely in your browser. Enter a loan amount, an annual interest rate, and a repayment term in months, and it estimates the fixed monthly payment and the total you would repay. It uses the standard amortization formula, it links nowhere, it sends nothing anywhere, and it stores nothing. Use it to compare financing scenarios before you talk to any lender.

The total quote minus anything you will pay from savings.

Use the annual percentage rate quoted to you, including fees where possible.

Common terms run from twelve to sixty months.

How is it calculated?

Monthly payment equals principal times the monthly rate times one plus the monthly rate raised to the number of payments, divided by one plus the monthly rate raised to the number of payments minus one. With a zero rate, the monthly payment is simply the principal divided by the number of payments. Results are estimates for education only and do not include fees unless those fees are reflected in the rate you enter.

  • Estimates only: actual offers depend on credit, fees, and lender terms.
  • Origination fees deducted from the loan amount are not reflected unless you adjust the amount financed.
  • Deferred-interest plans are not modeled here: if a plan charges interest retroactively, the true cost can exceed this estimate.

All calculation happens on your device. No data is sent, stored, or shared, and the tool contains no links to any lender or application.

It is not financial advice, it does not recommend any lender or financing product, and it contains no links to lenders or financing applications.
